Legal Assistant
Prominent law firm with offices in Lexington & Louisville currently has a Legal Assistant position available in our Lexington office. Candidates must have the ability to appropriately prioritize multiple tasks, be highly motivated, have strong organizational skills, and a meticulous attention to detail. He/She must have a professional appearance and demeanor, adequate hearing, vision, and the physical ability to sit, stand, walk, as well as moderate lifting. Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Must have working knowledge of MS Office and Zoom for digital conference rooms
• Handling of confidential information
• Excellent digital dictation, writing, grammar, proofreading, word processing skills
• Digital Phone and email communication with clients/parties
• Physical and Electronic filing and scanning
• Scheduling meetings/mediations/arbitrations with attorneys, etc.
• Maintaining and updating the attorney calendar
• Retainer processing
• Administrative functions and legal support

Paralegal

Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Maintaining calendars for assigned attorneys to ensure they are aware of all motion hours, hearings, trial dates, depositions, deadlines, etc. for all matters.
• Schedule mediations, depositions, draft associated pleadings as needed.
• Schedule and confirm court reporters and/or videographers for depositions.
• Schedule IMEs with attorneys’ preferred choice of physicians, insurance carriers and adjusters.
• Production of all medical, billing, and radiology records requests.
• Review and summarization of records for use at depositions and mediations.
• Background checks of the plaintiff including open records request.
• Correspondence with clients for depos, mediations and trials.
• Electronic filing of pleadings according to Circuit/District/Federal Court guidelines.
• Administrative functions for legal support and legal research.
