Landrum & Shouse is a proud sponsor of a bourbon barrel, part of the LexArts Town Branch Bourbon Barrel Project. This project is a unique public art event in Lexington that celebrates the history of our beloved bourbon, but also chronicles the Town Branch, the long-buried stream that was the formative basis of historic Lexington.

The barrel was designed and executed by local artist Phil May and is entitled “The Wellspring of Champions.”

We are proud to be a long-time supporter of LexArts, participating in the annual Workplace Giving Campaign and sponsoring a painted horse in the Horse Mania 2010 project.

LexArts is greater Lexington’s premier cultural development, advocacy and fundraising organization. As both the area arts council and united arts fund, LexArts provides a wide range of programs and services designed to integrate the arts into our daily lives including the LexArts Hop, Lexington Youth Arts Council and ArtScope – …This Week in the Arts email calendar. LexArts’ President and CEO and board members work closely with community leaders and local and state officials concerning public funding and cultural facilities. Through its annual Fund for the Arts, LexArts raises millions of dollars in support of local arts and distributes general operating support to its Partner Organizations, as well as offering competitive special project and programming grants to other arts organizations in the area. LexArts operates two facilities in downtown Lexington – ArtsPlace and the Downtown Arts Center – providing high-quality performance space, galleries, rehearsal space and office space for nonprofit arts organizations. At these locations, LexArts organizes visual art exhibitions and performances showcasing the region’s creative talent.
